River Fishing

An alternative to our boat charters is our fly fishing on the river trip. Steelhead are are sea-going rainbow trout. They can be chome or coloured depending on the time of the year and their life cycle.

They are seasonal fish, summer-run steelhead come into the river in August or September. They will remain there until they spawn in April or May. After they have been in the river a while, they start to look like their rainbow trout ancestors.
